This page explains how personal data of visitors to www.ideacinema.it is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.

What data we collect

Data you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and the content of your message, together with any other information you choose to include.

Browsing data. The systems that run this website automatically record some data during normal operation, such as IP address, browser type, date and time of the request and pages visited. This data is used only to keep the site working and secure, and is not used to identify users.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • To reply to your requests sent through the contact form or by email, including requests about possible co-productions or production services. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • To protect the website from spam and abuse, using Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • To run the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal obligations or defend our rights where necessary (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).

Providing your data through the contact form is optional, but without it we cannot reply to you. We do not use your data for marketing and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

Who can access your data

Your data is handled by IdeaCinema staff and by service providers acting on our behalf as data processors, in particular:

  • SiteGround, which hosts the website;
  • Google Ireland Limited, which provides the reCAPTCHA service. Data collected by reCAPTCHA may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.

How long we keep it

Messages received through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any following correspondence, and in any case for no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless a working relationship follows. In that case, data is kept for the period required by law. Browsing data is kept for the short period needed for technical and security purposes.

Your rights

At any time you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Arts. 15 to 22 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before. To exercise your rights, write to ideacinema@ideacinema.it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
